The definition of “equipment” usually includes, but is not limited to, mainframe computers, minicomputers, microcomputers, terminals, monitors, printers, disk drives, and modems. The term “data” includes both computer programs (which direct the processing of data) and data files (which store processed data, such as customer mailing lists.) “Media,” such as disk and tapes, are the materials used to store data.DIRECTORS & OFFICERS LIABILITY: Insurance that covers a corporation’s directors and officers against liability for their “wrongful acts” that would not be covered under a General Liability Policy or Auto Policy; also covers the sums that the insured corporation is required or permitted by law to pay to the directors and officers as indemnification.DRIVE-OTHER-CAR COVERAGE: Endorsement to business auto coverage specifically named individuals in the event of a loss when driving an automobile other than the auto(s) described in the schedule of the policy. (An umbrella policy is broader than a straight excess liability policy as it provides excess coverage over several policies, typically General Liability, Automobile, and Employers Liability.)FIRE LEGAL LIABILITY COVERAGE: Coverage for fire damage to premises rented to or temporarily occupied by the named insured. Typically, a limit of $50,000 or $100,000 is automatically included in a General Liability Policy. Higher limits are available.FINE ARTS FLOATER: Most policies exclude or limit coverage for paintings, collections and other valuables and it is recommended that a fine arts floater be purchased to cover such items. Coverage can be extended to cover breakage and other broadened perils and is usually a requirement that appraisals be obtained.FIDUCIARY LIABILITY: Covers the fiduciaries of an employee benefit plan against liability claims alleging breach of their fiduciary duties involving discretionary judgment.FLOOD INSURANCE COVERAGE: Provides coverage against damage done to property by rising water.
